Our website is finally back online, and we have a completely new look! Along with our huge selection of brand-new Fall classes, we are now able to offer online registration for classes! Visit our classes page to see our brand new calendar, which gives you a great overview of our class schedule.
You can register by clicking on the photo of the class, or the ‘Register’ button. Scroll down and you’ll see our list of upcoming classes with larger class photos. Once you click to register, you will be taken to the registration page where you can fill out your information, and once you submit that just enter your credit card information and you will be registered!
As you browse our new classes, you may notice Jackie is introducing a new type of class. Called “Fast ‘n’ Fab”, these classes are one-day only, don’t need any prep before the class, and include your surface! They are loaded with techniques and colour theory, and provide the convenience of being able to complete a painting from start to finish in just one day!
We’re currently in the midst of renovating our studio as well, and invite you to join us on September 20th for our Grand Re-Opening, in celebration of 20 years in business!
Jackie’s painted one more brand new class for the Spring schedule, and it will be the last one before Tiggy’s closes for the summer. Arbutus is a two-day class starting in April; both classes scheduled are almost full already, so be sure to sign up now if you’re interested!
We also have some spots left in the Dandelion class starting Wednesday March 12, the Whistler Village class starting Friday March 21, the Golden Tree class starting Saturday March 22, the brand-new class Rose’s Roses starting Wednesday March 26 and the Open class on Friday April 11. Tiggy’s closes for the summer May 9, so if you’d like to take a class before we re-open again in September, be sure to sign up for one of our available classes now!
We’ve just added a brand new class to the schedule: Rose’s Roses. There are also new dates added to the Dandelion and Golden Tree classes, with a few spaces still available in each. One more Open Class has been added on Friday, April 11, and it’s the last one until the fall. If you have any unfinished pieces you’d like to finally make time for, or are working on your own project and would like some extra guidance, the Open Class is for you.
Finally we will be adding another brand-new class before the summer break, Arbutus, starting Saturday April 19th. We’ll add it to the site once Jackie has finished painting it. 🙂
We close early for the summer this year (May 9th!) so these are among the last classes we will be offering until September! Make sure you sign up now if you’d like to do one more painting before the summer.
To celebrate our 20th year in business, we will be renovating the studio over the summer to provide our students more space and a lighter, brighter surrounding to paint in! We’ll be hosting a 20 Year Anniversary Open House in September, where you can drop in to see the new studio!
We will also be renovating the website at the same time in order to enable class sign-ups online! The website will not be available while we’re updating but should be back online by mid June/early July. We will schedule our fall classes once the website is back up and running.
A lot is happening at Tiggy’s this year, so be sure to keep checking the website or sign-up for our Newsletter to get all the latest updates!
If you are interested in any of these classes be sure to call the studio at (604) 541-8322 to register, and leave a message if we’re not there as classes are filled on a first-phoned-first-served basis, We will call you back when the studio is open.
We’ve just added five brand-new classes to the fall schedule: Gulf Island Cabin, Snowman, Sunflower #3, a brand-new Drawing Class, and the Evergreen Wreath-Making class. Visit the Classes page to see photos of the new classes and dates they are offered. The studio will be re-opening September 14, so if you want to sign up for a class you can call and leave a message (604-541-8322) or email Jackie (email@example.com). Be sure to include your name, phone number, and the class (with dates) you are interested in.
Even though the studio is closed, the summer store will still be open until Monday, September 9! If you haven’t had a chance to come down there are still a number of unique vintage gifts and art from Jackie and other artists for sale. If you have been down already, the store is constantly changing with new items arriving daily, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
We’ve just added new class dates for the Fall 2013 schedule: two new Beginner’s dates, Tuscan Steps, Plumeria, and a new Coloured Pencil class from Eileen Sorg (twodogstudio.com). The project hasn’t been decided yet but Eileen’s classes are always very popular and fill quickly, so if you’d like to learn how to create photo-realistic art using coloured pencils don’t miss out!
We will be adding new classes to the schedule by September, including a handmade Christmas wreath class in early December, so be sure to check back regularly or sign up for our newsletter to receive updates in your inbox!
Also keep in mind the studio will be closed for the summer June 12, though Jackie will still be checking phone messages and emails over the summer if you have any questions or would like to sign up for a class.
Beginner’s II is a brand new workshop Jackie has developed as a continuation of the Beginner’s Program. It’s also great for new students who have painted in the past but want to brush-up on their skills before taking another class offered at Tiggy’s. If you’ve taken classes at Tiggy’s before, haven’t painted in a while and would like to start taking classes again but don’t feel you need to re-take the Beginner’s Workshop, Beginner’s II is the perfect refresher course.
Jackie has been painting-up-a-storm the last couple of weeks, and as a result we have added two brand-new classes to the schedule: a Beginner’s II Program and Crystal Peony.
The Intermediate class is for those students who have taken a few classes at Tiggy’s and have painting experience, but would like to brush up on their techniques. The Intermediate Program will focus on advanced colour theory and colour mixing, as well as new brush techniques. Students who have taken Beginner’s and would like to practice their painting techniques more before taking one of the regular classes at Tiggy’s would also be well-suited for this class.
Jackie also painted a new piece for Beginner’s, based on the popular Red Door class. All Beginner’s Program classes from now on will use this piece, which allows students to practice a variety of brush techniques and colour mixing.
Be sure to call or visit us if you’d like to sign up for a class!
Keep in mind that even though many of our classes are currently full we can add you to our waiting list to be contacted if there are any cancellations. We also use the waiting list as a guide to decide which classes to run repeats of and will contact those on the waiting list first with the new dates (before it’s even posted on the website!).
We’ve added more class dates for our most popular classes: Sunflower #2 and White Rowboats. We’ve also added a new Open Class date in April if you have your own design you’d like to paint but want some guidance from Jackie. There’s still space left in the Plumeria class in March, the Beginner’s Program in April, the Open Class in April, and the Sunflower #2 class in May. All our other classes are currently full, but if there is a class you are interested in please call or email to put your name on the waiting list for that class, as we will add more class dates based on how many people are on the waiting list (and will call you first once we add more dates).
We will be adding more class dates into May and June so please check back often as the site will be updated when new classes are added. You can also subscribe to our newsletter if you’d like to get updates in your inbox, but do keep in mind we will update the website more often than we will send out newsletters.
