If you are interested in any of these classes be sure to call the studio at (604) 541-8322 to register, and leave a message if we’re not there as classes are filled on a first-phoned-first-served basis, We will call you back when the studio is open.
A new class has been added to our winter schedule – Dandelions! It is a fast ‘n’ easy 2-day class~a perfect harbinger of spring! Check the Classes page for dates; the first class starts Wednesday, January 22.
If you would like to register please call the studio at 604-541-8322 and leave a message. We will be reopening on Friday January 10 from 10am till 2, and will call you back to confirm at that time.
We’ve added more dates to our 2014 schedule, and a brand-new (old) class!
Beginners II is new starting in January, there’s a new Gulf Island Cabin date in February (only two spots left!) and Cote D’Azur is a class we taught a few years ago, back by popular demand (only two spots left in that class as well!).
The Beginners class in January still has a few spots, as does the Open Class in February. The Beginners II class in February has only one spot left, Spring Flowers and Golden Tree have two spots, and both Whistler Village classes are full! We may schedule another Whistler Village class based on how many people are on our waiting list, so if you are interested be sure to let us know (as well as what days work best for you).
Remember if you bring in a new beginner to Tiggy’s, we’ll give you a $10 gift certificate!
Just a reminder the studio is now closed until the new year, so if you’d like to register for a class please call and leave a message (604-541-8322), as Melina will be checking messages and taking deposits over the break. Emails won’t be checked as often, so please call instead if you’d like to register. If you need to come in for supplies over the break, you can make arrangements with Melina as she will be at the studio on occasion.
Jackie will be painting a few new pieces over the break, so stay tuned for more class updates!
We’ve just added a bunch of brand new classes that will be starting in January 2014! Some are already full, but we will be adding more dates for popular classes so be sure to add your name to the waiting list if there’s a class you really want to take.
The shop will be closed for Christmas at the end of this week (Sunday, October 27 is our last day) so if you’d like to sign up you can call and leave a message (604-541-8322). Melina will be checking messages over the break and will be in the shop sporadically (based on demand) to take deposits.
We will be adding more classes as they fill, so be sure to stay tuned!
We’ve just added five brand-new classes to the fall schedule: Gulf Island Cabin, Snowman, Sunflower #3, a brand-new Drawing Class, and the Evergreen Wreath-Making class. Visit the Classes page to see photos of the new classes and dates they are offered. The studio will be re-opening September 14, so if you want to sign up for a class you can call and leave a message (604-541-8322) or email Jackie (firstname.lastname@example.org). Be sure to include your name, phone number, and the class (with dates) you are interested in.
Even though the studio is closed, the summer store will still be open until Monday, September 9! If you haven’t had a chance to come down there are still a number of unique vintage gifts and art from Jackie and other artists for sale. If you have been down already, the store is constantly changing with new items arriving daily, and once they’re gone, they’re gone!
We’ve just added new class dates for the Fall 2013 schedule: two new Beginner’s dates, Tuscan Steps, Plumeria, and a new Coloured Pencil class from Eileen Sorg (twodogstudio.com). The project hasn’t been decided yet but Eileen’s classes are always very popular and fill quickly, so if you’d like to learn how to create photo-realistic art using coloured pencils don’t miss out!
We will be adding new classes to the schedule by September, including a handmade Christmas wreath class in early December, so be sure to check back regularly or sign up for our newsletter to receive updates in your inbox!
Also keep in mind the studio will be closed for the summer June 12, though Jackie will still be checking phone messages and emails over the summer if you have any questions or would like to sign up for a class.
Beginner’s II is a brand new workshop Jackie has developed as a continuation of the Beginner’s Program. It’s also great for new students who have painted in the past but want to brush-up on their skills before taking another class offered at Tiggy’s. If you’ve taken classes at Tiggy’s before, haven’t painted in a while and would like to start taking classes again but don’t feel you need to re-take the Beginner’s Workshop, Beginner’s II is the perfect refresher course.
Jackie has been painting-up-a-storm the last couple of weeks, and as a result we have added two brand-new classes to the schedule: a Beginner’s II Program and Crystal Peony.
The Intermediate class is for those students who have taken a few classes at Tiggy’s and have painting experience, but would like to brush up on their techniques. The Intermediate Program will focus on advanced colour theory and colour mixing, as well as new brush techniques. Students who have taken Beginner’s and would like to practice their painting techniques more before taking one of the regular classes at Tiggy’s would also be well-suited for this class.
Jackie also painted a new piece for Beginner’s, based on the popular Red Door class. All Beginner’s Program classes from now on will use this piece, which allows students to practice a variety of brush techniques and colour mixing.
Be sure to call or visit us if you’d like to sign up for a class!
Keep in mind that even though many of our classes are currently full we can add you to our waiting list to be contacted if there are any cancellations. We also use the waiting list as a guide to decide which classes to run repeats of and will contact those on the waiting list first with the new dates (before it’s even posted on the website!).
“Asparagus” is a piece Jackie painted for last month’s Open House, but it wasn’t added to the schedule due to the demand for repeats of already-scheduled classes. Now that Jackie is planning the Spring schedule she’d like to get your feedback on the piece, to decide if she should include it in the schedule or not. Since we haven’t yet posted an image of the class on the website, we thought this would be a good opportunity.
So what do you think? Would you be interested in taking this class? If so please call us at (604) 541-8322 or email us at email@example.com and let us know (you can also leave a comment below!). If we get enough interest we will be adding it to the schedule, and will be contacting those who expressed interest in the class first to inform you of the dates.
